I am outgoing, energetic, and forever finding myself taking on new challenges. For every goal I achieve, I manage to set myself three more - and this way I have found myself achieving all sorts of things I never dreamt possible. I love to spend as much of my spare time as possible outdoors, with friends, preferably on a bike or in trail shoes.
Triathlon, trail running, and in the winter - cross country. I do all of those things because they allow me to enjoy and explore the amazing world around me, whilst also pushing my limits. I can explore corners of the world that are absolutely beautiful yet somehow often overlooked by others. I find nothing more satisfying than tackling a tough climb, and then enjoying the breath-taking views at the top, knowing I got myself there all under my own steam.
Lucho Diliitos has been a total lifesaver at times. Being so easy to eat on the go, and its packaging being so easy to dispose of, I have used them heavily throughout my long training rides, where it is vital that keep myself well fuelled without stopping. I also use Lucho before my races, when I am so nervous that I find it is the only thing I can get down me to keep me fired up!
Sharing it with others and watching them realise how great the snack is! "I can throw the packaging away? And it's just a leaf!?" Also not coming home with sticky gel packets ruining the pockets of my cycling jersey.
I pack Lucho on every adventure, every time without fail. It has gone with me to the highlands of Scotland to the canals of the Netherlands. In a few weeks time it will come with me to Greece as I take on a big week of running miles, and where Lucho will help to keep me powered up in the heat.
Who knows! I've found the greatest challenges over the past couple of years have been those I never saw coming. However, I hope in the coming year to take on some big cycling sportives - so I will certainly be needing Luchos to keep me going if I am to achieve that goal.
Going from being terrified of a road bike to building enough endurance to ride in excess of 100kms at a time, allowing me to explore all manner of new places that seemed out of my reach before - and not getting dropped by the boys anymore! Getting fast enough to race competitively in triathlon is a close second.
My next big adventure will be in Ibiza at the end of October, where I will be representing Great Britain for my age group in the European Duathlon Championships. I will soon also be relocating to Italy, where my training will without a doubt be ramping up as I explore an entirely new environment, and hopefully find a whole host of new challenges to take on! My biggest challenge recently has been to overcome my fear of open water once and for all. I have spent the entire summer seeking out new venues to swim from, learning all sorts of different techniques, and getting in the water with friends at every opportunity. I am pleased to say that recently, I successfully managed to meet my target goals and think I can safely say that this particular challenge has been a runaway success.
In every way I try to shine as brightly as I could. As a mom, wife, boss, friend and daughter. Only the best version is good enough. Sometimes that hard, sometimes it hurts but it makes my life meaningful & so beautiful.
I am aware of the obstacles in my way and the misogynistic expectations people have for me, but I always will decide for myself what I want and works to achieve it. I am willing to find help or gain strength from supportive friends, family members, and mentors.
And I am a fighter!Read more

Full of life. Happiest in mountains running up and down with big smile on her face. Loving mountains for the purity, that they verify you and you can't fake it there. Not looking for content, looking for beauty, memories and good laugh with friends.Read more
